At the current time, Alex sat in his beach-side loft penthouse (one of many his family owned) on a Friday night, gazing at his list of contacts on his smartphone. Hmm, now who to call tonight for some much needed fun? The type of fun that involved his bed and an absence of clothes. Mm, who to call indeed. He had a few choices. As he pondered this, he was glancing through some pictures on his phone, a few of which were of a certain special young detective friend of his.
Lucas. Ohhh, Lucas. Alex liked that one. Licking his lips absently as he went through the various pics of the young blond male, his surfer style hair - ohhh, he remembered how nice it felt running his hands through it. And over the rest of him as well. Ohh, yeah. Such nice skin, nicely toned form, and flexible too. He recalled their first night together, panting, sweating, writhing, joined together in various positions, spent nearly the full night in hot.. well. It was a fun night. It was also the first night they had met. And such an interesting way to meet, what had ended in a night of pleasure... had begun in a meeting of pain. A fight, actually. Alex found it lucky they'd both managed to survive it, for it was a tough one..
================ F L A S H B A C K !!!!! ========================
One month ago. It was late, an hour or so before midnight, and the young incubi/warlock hybrid was walking the streets of a city, dressed in a hoodie jacket and tight jeans. He knew he should feed soon. Maybe he could find a club still open and perhaps find a partner or two. Yeah, that could do. Clubs were the best place to find partners like that. And being an incubus, finding them was easy - all he had to do was read their auras, and whoever out of the crowd had the brightest and largest spike in aura, those were the ones that desired him.
But then, as he was walking along, he heard something. Shouts, other sounds. Sounds of a struggle. A fight? Oh, definitely a fight, from the sound of attacking, and occasionally of trashcans knocked over, or a slamming into a fence, or other noises. It seemed to be coming from an alley a block ahead. Now, he was taught to avoid dark alleys in big cities, especially in bad parts of town. But he heard a fight going on, maybe someone needed assistance. And hey, he wasn't defenseless, he did have powers. After a heavy sigh, he quickened his steps as he moved closer and closer to the commotion from the alley.

"Holy shit, what the f-" Alex began, then jumped back, narrowly avoiding the swipe attack, and held his hand out in reflex. Instantly, a blast of cold, winter air shot from his hand and to the creature, knocking it further down the alley. That had to hurt. He held up his hands then, electricity sparking at his finger tips. "Need some help?", he asked the young blond male. After all, two against this thing was better than one.

Date: 2021-01-31 04:27 am (UTC)"Woah, look o--huh!?" Finally his brain engages, only to be thrown for another loop. The werecat looked like it had been blown right off it's feet and---wait are those sparks at the end of this guy's fingertips?
"I'm not gonna say no," Lucas quips with a sidelong smirk. The mystery of what the hell is going on can wait until the immediate threat is stopped. One way or another. Taking a step forward as the beastly creature begins to stir again, Lucas flick his hand out and a trash can careens down the alleyway. "Don't feel bad about running if you need to."
Someone else getting hurt because he couldn't contain the threat? Not if he could help it. Except the werecat recovers just enough to swat at the can so it doesn't fully slam into the creature, but leaves an opening if either one of them can capitalize on it.

Date: 2021-02-21 04:07 pm (UTC)He smiled then as the help was accepted, feeling electricity crackle in his fingers as he pulled the hood over his head. He watched as Lucas used his telekinesis again, sending a can at the creature, which swiped at it, leaving an opening. Alex acted immediately; pointing his hand, and jolts of electricity came from his fingers, then he followed suit with his other hand. "Ultimate POWERRRRR," he yelled out in mock old man voice, briefly glancing to Lucas as the beast recoiled back in pain. "Okay, try that TK thing with the can again.. also, any idea how many volts are needed to knock him out?"

Date: 2021-03-14 11:50 pm (UTC)As electricity arced into the creature Lucas can’t help but laugh. That’s a line he’d totally pull if he had such a power, it’s bad enough he has telekinesis. It’s basically the Force, right? At any rate he threw a sidelong smirk at Alex and nodded, lifting his hands again.
“Not sure, I’d say more is better honestly!” His expertise lay in the realm of spirits, not were-creatures. Maybe after this is all over he needed a refresher course, but that thought was just going to have to keep. Launching another trash can at the creature Lucas kept pummeling it until Alex could get in another good shot! Unfortunately for them the werecat is made of sterner stuff so anything short of a lethal dose is going to hurt it but not knock it out.
It does get the message though, yowling in desperation. What had been an easy meal it turning out to be too much work - if Alex hit again with a good jolt it’s going to try and book it!

Date: 2021-03-24 03:24 pm (UTC)As Lucas used his TK yet again, Alex nodded in thanks at the suggestion. "More? Okay, he'll totally get more," Alex said, raising his hands and sending jolts of lightning-like electricity at the werecat, this time the bursts were stronger.. brighter. More power voltage. "Good, gooood, let the pain flow through you," he taunted as he continued to blast away, continuing with the electrical barrage. Either it would soon lose consciousness.. or run off, though Alex was prepared to freeze the thing's feet if that was the case.
sorry again, i've got this on my spreadsheet now!
Date: 2021-04-26 02:17 am (UTC)Although, that extra reference definitely got a bark of laughter from the Medium as he tried to find something else to lift. The werecat didn't take so kindly to either the joke or the electricity threatening to put it down and out so with one final, mighty roar it tried to make a break for it.
"Shit, we can't let it run loose, it's pissed enough to eat someone," Lucas started forward, still glancing this way and that to find something small enough he can lift it with his telekinesis but large enough to serve as a distraction. Nothing for it but to fling a few beer cans at it, pelting the back of the creature's head. "Dude, if you have another trick up your sleeve now's the time!"
The werecat had had enough of this, twisting away from the two young men. Now was its chance and it was going to make for the alleyway behind it and out into the open road.

Date: 2021-04-27 04:54 am (UTC)Then he had it. He had used ice before. Maybe time for an alternation of that. "Cats can't ice skate," he spoke, then smiling. Acting quickly, his hands making obscure gestures and motions, a semi-visible arcane glyph appeared.. and then the ground under the werecat turned to ice. Upon which the monster kitty kept slipping, and unable to gain control, slid and landed on it's back, clawing in anger. "Shhhh," Alex spoke to it, gazing into its eyes. Making another gesture and speaking in Latin. Within moments the creature went into a slumber.
"Should last an hour or two," Alex said as he turned to Lucas then. "Maybe there's someone you can call to pick him up? Or maybe some special rope or cuffs to contain him, or something. Damn, this was one bad kitty. I need to feed a hunger sometimes too, but I wouldn't act like that. But I think we're safe now. Oh! Right, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Alex Cadwell. Warlock. Well.. half warlock, anyway."

Date: 2021-05-10 02:40 am (UTC)"Uuh," Lucas said smartly, looking equal parts impressed as hell and totally shocked. It took him a few moments to even catch up to what all the man was saying.
"I could call it into the office, they can come pick it up?" Lucas looked against from werecat to Alex before some of the initial shock wore off. Now he grinned, offering a hand out. "Lucas Kovach, Medium...and uh, sorry, but half warlock? That sounds like a story. But I owe you for this so how about I make that phone call and then, I don't know, take you out for a drink or something?"
Or several. Holy shit, that was impressive. Luckily Lucas had his phone on him so call the beast in to the local IOPSA office was easy enough. "You think it'll be good here? I've never seen anyone do something like that before."

Date: 2021-05-28 10:46 pm (UTC)Then he finally learned the man's name, and accepted the handshake offered to him. Hm, that hand felt nice. And a Medium? That explaine3d a bit. He smiled then.. oh, was he asking to take him on a drinking date? Or maybe it was a 'casual' type date. Being an incubus, and from what he saw of Lucas' aura, he was at least interested. "Yes, or something," he said, playfully brushing a finger down his arm. "But sure, drinks would be good, I'm a bit hungry now. And it's true.. the half warlock thing is quite a story. The other half is even more interesting and fun, which I'll be happy to tell you somewhere safe with a drink."
Alex gave a nod then, gazing down at the sleeping werecat, then back to Lucas as he was doing the call from the phone. "Oh yeah, he's fine. Now that you're calling for it to be picked up, I'm sure we can leave it be now and head away from the alley. Then you can have my full attention." He smirked slightly then. "You're really cute, by the way."

Date: 2021-06-07 02:37 pm (UTC)"Drinks and a bite to eat," He agreed easily enough, grinning a touch wider now. Don't have to tell him twice to get a move on, he was already starting to head out of the alley. For once he didn't want to stick around and clean up the mess. IOPSA could find him later.
"Well you have my full attention," Lucas laughed, "Can't let a supernatural hottie get away so easily."
Because it's not every day he had the chance to hang out with someone who dealt with the weird and wild side of the world. And a good-natured flirt to boot. As they stepped out onto the sidewalk proper Lucas couldn't help himself but walk closer to Alex.
"So you been to a little place called the Black and Brew yet? They have some seriously killer food and drinks, night time means they have full bar out, too. They know me there, so...it's pretty safe to chat about things, if you're worried about that."

Date: 2021-06-16 09:52 am (UTC)"Don't worry, I don't plan on leaving your side anytime soon," he expressed as they then began walking together. "And I'm not the only hottie," he added with a coy grin, leaving the alley and walking on the sidewalk. He noticed also that as they moved onward, Lucas seemed closer to him. As much so that as they walked, occasionally their bare arms would just briefly graze each other. "Haven't been there, no. But it sounds like a great place from how you describe it."
He also appreciated the fact that it was safe to openly talk to Lucas about himself there. Of course there may be some more openly flirting with him too, but that was always a given. Especially with Alex. Soon they had found the place, upon which Alex mostly followed Lucas' lead as they went to a table and ordering some food and drinks.
"So," he said as he sat across from him, "anything you want to know.. open book. I'm happy to answer questions, or satisfy any curiosities." Which was nice, he didn't often get to talk honestly about himself, or magic, or supernatural things in general with most people. But with Lucas it felt more free to do that.
